he would go and talk to her ,asking her out for date.spending more time together.

Depends on what the situation is i.e. if they work together then the guy would start talking to her but if its like a nightclub then it would be the usual do u want a drink etc. If it were just out normally then you would find any reason to bump in to the lass and get chatting hopefully switch numbers etc.

Be clever about it. Simply approach her and start a simple conversation. If you like this girl, you'll think of ways to keep the talk interesting---and to do that, you have to LISTEN well.
Don't dominate the conversation--and be bravely honest, but keep her feelings on topics spoken in mind.
