I knew this guy since we were kids and then we met online again a year ago. He said he missed out on the love of his life with me. He told me a year ago he just went through a divorce after being married for 15 years and lives with his girlfriend and said that she is not the love of his life. But that he feels obligated to be with her. He does not want to hurt anyone. He reads emails I send him sometimes 10 times. He reads the same email over and over. We live very far from each other and I told him I was in his area and if he would like to meet for a drink. He gave tons of excuses why he could not because he was so busy. But I know that he has been reading my emails telling where I am and if we can meet up. After he reads it 10 times, he will email back and say I sorry I was sick or I was traveling on business. etc...what is up with this guy?

I think everyone is being a little harsh. I don't think he is down right lying to you. He told you what the issue is. He has a girlfriend that he feels obligated to be with and doesn't want to hurt anyone. So, even though he has obvious feelings for you, by seeing you it jeopardizes his current relationship and he is trying to stop it before anything possibly starts. You can either wait around for him to leave his current gf (which would be heart wrenching) or you can create distance between the two of you and move on. If it's meant to be, he will find you again.

He is exactly the type of guy you want to stay away from. He plays games, and he probably got a divorce because he doesn't know how to commit. Leave this guy be. Besides he has a girlfriend which means it's not meant to be. And if he leaves his girl for you, he just may do the same to you one day. Do you want to take that chance? Do you hgonestly think this guy is trustworthy?

The truth is he is lying to you and laughing the entire time. He is stringing you along. You are not the love of his life. HE is the love of his life. He only wants someone to build up his sagging ego. Dump him. Find someone who wants to be with you and not lie to you! Always believe a man's actions over his words. Actions never lie.

yOU DESERVE BETTER LOVE HE IS BLATANTLY LLYING TO YOU. i WAS WITH SOMEONE SIMMILAR TO THIS GUY. I was in denial about his lies and everything my friends tried to put sense into my head I just wouldnt take it. He just wants a bit of fun. If a man doesnt want a woman there is no way they would stay!!! Think about the number of times you have begged your boyfriend NOT to dump you...and they just did. im not sure bit of a odd ball i know if i waz im id meet u right away i wouldnt let a mate down but maybe after his divore he isnt ready to go out with other girls yet
