Is the Special Kitty 13oz can in the recall. I cant get through on the phone lines. I dont want to make my babies sick. Also is the Friskies Dry Cat food in the recall. Thanks

So no friskies products are in the recall. And no Special Kitty canned foods are in the recall? Right? I was soooo worried because my one of my 3 cats dissappeared on December 31, 2006 and I cant deal with it if my other two cats get sick.

Menu Foods is recalling dog food sold under 50 brands and cat food sold under 40 brands. The food was distributed throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico by major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Kroger and Safeway.
The recall is limited to “cuts and gravy” style pet food that was sold in cans and pouches.

go to dogster.com then you will see a news announcement on the right side of the main page....it will take you to a a few different links and one of them gives a whole list of dog and cat food names with upc codes. you will find out all the info you need. i know that special kitty is one of the recalls, i hope all is good with your cat..god bless.

I was just on the phone with animal control and they were throwing theirs out. (Special kitty canned)

From what I've seen on the news, it pertains to wet food.
I also seen Eukanuba as one of the Brand names.
Again, I did not see the article in it's entirety, so please research this matter more than my answer.
