This could be the early stages of acid-reflux disease. For now, take a couple Tums and it may go away. If you steal have an excess of gas, consult a doctor.

The cause could be eating something that doesn't agree with you, eating gas producing foods, swallowing air (do you have post nasal drip at this time of year, and swallow the drainage often?), drinking soda, a virus, an anatomical or physiological reason.
Unless it's painful or bothersome, you shouldn't need to consult a doctor. Watch what you're eating, take Gas-x or some form of simethicone 30 minutes after eating and at bedtime, don't sit in one place for hours after a meal...get up and walk around or be active. If it gets worse or you suspect it's something other than simple gas, then go see your doc.

no, not really, are you in the habit of swallowing air when you eat?do you drink a lot of carbonated drinks(soda) are you a fast eater? If you do these things then that is the reason for your constant burping, you have to learn to slow down and be aware of what you are doing,it takes time but you will find that after a whil you wont be burping too much and not as often as you were before. Glad I could be of help. rubberstampr

The first thing I would try is eating lots of yogurt with live active cultures or taking acidophillus capsules daily. Also pick up something like Gas-X or something with simethicone in it. If you still have the burping after trying all of these then it is time to see the doc.

burps are a result of gas accumulation in the stomach. Usually caused by swallowing air with the food you eat or the liquids you drink, or by gas producing foods. Try eating more slowly, and drink peppermint herbal tea with your meals.
