I put in a new battery and now the radio display to enter code

First, if you bought the car new try checking in the glove box with the manuals and whatnot. Normally there's a card that has the radio code and instructions to enter it to unlock the radio.

If there's not a card in the glove box you'll have to remove it to get the serial number. With the serial number you'll be able to retrieve the radio code from the dealership or some online sites.

If you get the serial number call the dealership and tell them you work for Best Buy/Circuit City and that you disconnected the battery to install an amp and need the code if they could please provide it to you. Normally they will give it to you free of charge, just thank them.

I work at Circuit City and have yet to been denied a code for a radio, my fault or not. They are always really nice. Anyways, goodluck.
