I am a 28 year old single mom with two boys 10 & 7. I recently started dating a 19 year old. Do you think its too weird to date someone this much younger or that age is just a number?

ur heart knows no age. so the important thing is how he treats you and ur kids. i think ur kids r old enough for u to get there opinion on wut they think of him. if its serious then his age shouldnt play into it. some 19 yr olds r more mature then 30 yr olds these days. goodluck

I almost always say that age is just a number. But starting a new relationship with a woman who has two kids might be more than a 19 year old man is ready for. Unless he is that one in a million--and I really mean a rare breed, I'd say to look elsewhere. Someone with a little more maturity will be more ready for the situation. But don't give up. I know a woman whose husband died and left her with 10 kids, and she found a good man willing to take the whole package!

I think that he is a young adult jumping in too deep at that age. He just graduated and needs to focus on life experiances and a career rather than a wife with two kids alredy. No offence but your kids are pretty old, i mean the 19 year old is only 9 years older than your oldest child... they could be brothers.

Age may not matter, but maturity does, and life experience does. Is this 19-year-old anywhere near your level of maturity? Does he have your same interests and values? Your primary focus is taking care of your kids... his might be partying every weekend. If you're just dating him for fun, for a short while, go ahead, but if you plan to make this serious or long-time, you really need to question if your needs and interests are compaitble.

in my opinion age is just a number and if he really likes you and you really like him then don't let it bother you. My g/f is 21 with two kids and i'm only 18.

Age is just a number.....love is love....I'll date whoever I want....if shes 35, 25, 15, or whatever. If theres fluff on the muff than she is old enough...some of those laws are kinda bogus anyway.

age is just a number, most of the time it can get in the way because he isn't even 21 yet so you wouldn't be able to go out for drinks. but if it works for you then you go girl!!!
