Prayer is a means by which we draw nearer to God and, thus, find Christ.

God hears all the prayers of the righteous. But consider the following:

A Christian hunter is hunting bears in the woods. While walking up a hill he grabs a branch for leverage and it breaks sending the hunter tumbling down the hill, gun flying off elsewhere. When the hunter dusts himself off he sees a huge bear charging him. The hunter begins running, but trips and falls, landing on his knees. Seizing the opportunity, and being a good Christian, the hunter begins to pray, "Lord, make this bear a Christian."

The woods are quiet, the hunter turns and, Hallelujah! He sees the bear on his knees, paws together, praying! Listening, he hears the bear praying, "Father, bless this food to my body."

The key point here is that God answers prayers of the righteous, but the answer you get may not be the answer you want, BUT it will always be the right answer.

I speak to God in the same manner as I write these words to you now. That is, I have a plain conversation with Him each day, usually out under the stars late at night as my family sleeps. My prayers are conversations that follow a pattern. I start every prayer with the following: "Most merciful God, not my will, but yours be done." I repeat that phrase often during my prayers. Sometimes I will do so for tens of times just to quiet my mind and make it open to hearing from my Creator.

Use the following pattern in all your prayers and you will see them answered: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. See the links below for more information. (acronym: ACTS)

Between your prayers, study the scriptures, find a good bible commentary, and learn the fundamentals of your beliefs so that you can defend them. The more you learn the more questions you will have. I and others will be around to answer them when you want.

If you are sincere and believe in your heart, Pray: God be merciful to me a sinner! I believe Christ died for me and that His Precious blood will cleanse me from all my sin. By faith I now receive the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and my Savior; the salvation of my soul. Help me Lord to do thy will each day. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Now you should confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

I have become close to my Savior through the teachings of the gospel. I joined the LDS church about a year ago and it has brought me immeasureable happiness. I know this gospel is true, I have prayed about it. I know the Lord will answer your prayers if you ask with real intent. He loves you and wants to bless you. You can contact missionaries in your area and they can help you on your journey.

Dear Friend,

The bible says:

Acts 17:26From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

To find him you should pray to God and ask him to come into your life and forgive your sin, thank him for the sacrifice of his son and dedicate yourself to him in prayer, ask this in Jesus name. From that one moment, your life will change, mine has!

I wish you all the best

God Bless

Take a peak behind the sofa. He like to hide there.
