He reads the same email over and over again. I have a way of keeping track of emails I send so I know when and how often he reads them. We have been talking online for over a year now. I have known him since we were kids, but then drifted away. What is going on with this guy?

think about if you like a guy and you email him and he emails back.. how many times do you read it??
Talk to him, if you have feelings for him tell him, make the first move what have you got to lose..
if you dont like him then do nothing and just keep being friends.

You obviously said something in the email that he liked and made him smile, so he constantly feels the need to read the emails over and over. There's a guy I like that I talk to online that lives 600 miles from me, and he texts me, we talk in IM and I read texts over that he's sent me. Or read IM conversations over that we have. I only think it's natural when you like someone to reopen stuff in your mind cause something they said made you happy in that way.

he likes you and wants to recapture the feelings that he had when he first read the emails --- i do that with the IM conversations with my lady
