Atlanta is really diverse. It's in the South, and yes there are problems. But Atlanta has a lot of culture and is a really nice city to visit. I think most people believe that it's just another southern city with not a lot to offer. You could spend a week in Atlanta and not hit all the tourist attractions. It's great.

That because I am from Georgia I am a racist. I am not and get tired of people thinking because we are the "deep south" that we somehow still have the "slave mentality".
That we talk like hicks. I mean some of the people do - but a lot of us are respectable speaking people.

That it's one of the most racially progressive cities in the South. WRONG!!! They STILL hate people from the north ("Damn Yankees!") with a passion, and there's still a lot of hatred for African-Americans (yes, the "n" word is still in common use among whites in Atlanta). They need to put up billboards at one-mile intervals around Loop 285 that have the Union Jack with the big red circle and line through it with the legend "You lost -- GET OVER IT!!!"
