First thing you should do is go to courts or adoption agency and get what ever records you can, normally the courts will have documents that you should be able to get. i know how you feel my husband is going through the same thing right now on wanting to find hi daughter, he found documents of adoption on his daughter in a common pleas court juvenile division.
I wish you luck at finding your lil one and hope this helps you.

My cousin is adopted and she searched for her birth mom when she turned 18. She contacted the adoption agency that processed her adoption and found that 5 years prior, her birth mother had "opened the file" to make it possible for my cousin to locate her if she so chose. I believe something like this would be your best option. You can write a letter to your child and submit the letter, along with your current contact information to the adoption agency and they will place that information into your child's file. Then if your child decided to search for you in the future, they will have a way to contact you.
Growing up with three adopted family members, I personally witnessed the emotional struggles they went through coming to terms with the fact that they were adopted. One of them decided to search her birth mom...the other two didn't want to find out. I would urge you to please put your child's best interests first and do not aggressively seek them out unless they too are interested in meeting you.
I know it must be hard knowing you gave birth to a child who is out there somewhere living their life. Let me just say thank you, for choosing adoption over your other options and for giving your child the best possible start in life you were capable of!

well im only 13 so im not 100% sure if this will work, but you can try. Go back to where 2 took her for the adoption and maybe then can give you the information of who has your child. like i said i dont know if this will work but i hope you get your child back soon!

Check local agencies or the hospital where you gave birth. They may be able to lead you in the right direction.Do you remember the birthdate . There is a website called www.zabasearch.com where you can search all 50 states. I hope this helps and goes well for you.

This is why people in the US go to China or Africa to adopt. The specter of the birth mother changing her mind and circumventing the adoptive parents privacy is always in the back of their minds.
Please reconsider.

if the child is now over 18 u can start doing research. if she is not 18 yet, than u have no legal rights to look for her.
