i would recommend a digital camera with an "IS" (Image Stabilizer) feature or Hight ISO feature for fast moving subjects in pictures. The best cameras out there have to be Canon's. The SD800IS and the SD900 are both great cameras. I own both the SD600 and SD900 and i gotta say once you go Canon youll never want anything else. Neither of these have an IS feature but I never had any problems taking pictures of fast moving subjects like babies with them. Most of the pictures i take with these two cameras come out crystal clear without IS. They are all easy to use and dont require you to read the user manual so you can start using it right out of the box. Although, reading the user manual will help in certain situations. Second in line to digital cameras are Sony's. they offer cameras with an IS feature at a good price.

To add to what has already been said, consider your "white balance" setting. If it is on "AWB" (or Auto White Balance), the camera may not recognize the incandescent light in the image---that which causes your pictures to look yellow or orange. Some of these cameras have a feature that allows you to select "incandescent light" as the white balance setting and the camera will then adust accordingly, rendering a more pleasing color...that which is almost what you see.

Check your owner's manual to see if your camera has that capability.

I own a Fuji Film Fine Pix 3800 and I spent quite a bit of money on it. I recently bought my boyfriend a Kodak Easyshare. I think that the Easyshare takes as good-if not better-pictures than the Fuji. The Easyshare is SO easy to operate to !!! Check them both out at the links I've included.

I have a Sony also. I don't like it at all. It takes forever to take pictures and they come out orange. My friend has a Polaroid and loves it. It is really inexpensive also. I reccommend it!
