Is this pup sick? Or are you saying the pup had worms? How do you know the pups shots were not up to date? Do you realize that puppies need a series of vaccines? No one can guarantee a young pup to be free of worms, even a vet. What is the sickness that this puppy has?

Depends on what type of guarantee the pup had when you purchased it.
If the shots were not up to date and they toldyou they were you would have to prove they had not given them and that would be really hard to prove. All pups need to be wormed several times and have a seris of shots. That is normal medical care for a dog. They also need heartworm testing and meds for that and fela control meds. It is part of routine pet care.
If the pet you got is sick and you have a health guarantee you have some recourse. Contact the breeder. If you do not have a guarantee there is not alot you can really do.
That is why people tell others to check out the "breeders" they are buying from as many who seem ok are really nasty bad people who put up a good front to sell puppys. Most of them are not registered with any breed clubs if they are you can conplain to the breed club and the person can be barred from the club. AKC will do little about it as they are only a registry service nothing more.
I hope you pup is ok and that you and your pet have many good years together.

Buying from any online breeder is risky. A good breeder would never sell a puppy to anyone they have not met. If the puppy has papers, contact the kennel club

For one thing you never buy a dog on line, unless you can go to their home and check things out yourself. You need to ask yourself these questions. Why didn't I ask to see medical records. Why didn't I have a contract stating that I have three days to have puppy check out with the vet of my choice . If anything wrong with puppy I have the right to send back puppy for a refund.
Why didn't I ask to see AKC papers of both parents. You see it is your fault more than hers because you put your trust into someone on line that was sailing puppies and you didn't do your home work before you bought a puppy. Always Always have a contract stating everything you both agree on.
Some times people will see a cute little puppy and they buy it with out all the thinking that goes behind it. That is where the trouble starts. I am sorry for you puppy and I hope its feeling better soon. Learn from this and maybe you can teach others.

if the breeder told you the puppy did not need shots/worming, or it was not a "garunteed" puppy, you need to first talk to the breeder. if they do not wish to help you with the vet bills, etc, tell everyone, including vets, on and offline. word of mouth has a way of making or breaking a business! i think you can report them to the BBB. Plus if your pup is registered, contact the registry!
just be sure your paper work is in order before you get nasty with the breeder! also make sure you make contact w/them and let them try to make amens!
good luck and good health to your pup!

Contact the breeder first, if you can.
If they are registered members of the AKC or other clubs, you
can contact those clubs to report them if you are not
satisfied with what the breeders explanation was.
If they are not members of the AKC, you now know for future how to safeguard yourself- always purchase puppies from a REPUTABLE breeder. This is no guarantee but a increases your chances of a healthy pup.
Hope you pup is doing well and good luck with her!

You can report them to a local humane society, but on-line purchases of puppies are hard to do anything about. There aren't any regulations on who can actually be a breeder. All puppies are buyer beware.

How do you know the shots were not up to date? Did you do a titer? I am not sure a single set would even show up on a titer.
Live and learn! Do it differently next time. We don't need more restrictive laws to protect people from their own bad decisions.
