Hey guys, I've been interested in buying an above ground swimming pool. I really don't want to spend much money on this project, and I've seen that Walmart has matal frame pools for as cheap as 300 dollars. Has anyone ever gotten one of these pools, and how was your experience. I'm just a bit wary, because when you look at other products that seem similar they are much more expensive.

Basically, I'd like to know if one of these pools is of decent/good quality. Thanks for the help!

It is okay if you only have kids using it. My neighbor had one last summer which collapsed during a party she had where adults were a little "rowdy" in it. It was a lot more involved than what the instructions indicated to get it up and running. I seem to remember also that she had some problems with the pumps and keeping the water clean. BTW, once it collapsed there was no way to salvage it and it went out with the trash.

I have the vinyl kind with the plastic ring around the top and you put the hose in, and it rises as it fills. These are very popular in our neighborhood, but you do have to take these down yearly. I ave also seen this type of pool around our neighborhood. One family keeps it up all year long and 'closes' it at the end of the season. I do not know how happy they are with it but I can tell you that it has been up for about 3 years, so it has held up. If you can afford a quality above ground pool, I would go to a pool store and go that route. They have great deals this time of the year. if you have smaller kids, and want a shallower pool, I would recommend either the one you are looking at or a vinyl type.

I too have to say you get waht you pay for.

You could buy a Splasher pool for $300.00 or An Honest to goodness Above Ground Pool for As low as $900.00

if your looking for a way for the kids to beat the summer heat it's not bad, but those pools usually only last two or three summers
