My mother came home one night and brought a newspaper, now she think that MXit is a chatroom that u meet other people that u don't know. I tride to explain to her that it is like a chatroom that you get your Friends number and you talk to them instead of other people. Please help!

Take her on line and thru every single step.
I would do the same thing. she did. She may not think this is a safe practice even when you are finished showing her. You need to respect her decision no matter what and trust her to be the good parent she obviously is.
When kids ask me the hard question,
YOU ALWAYS TELL ME I CAN DO AN ACTIVITY WHEN YOU THINK I AM MATURE ENOUGH,HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I AM MATURE.
I give them this answer:
" it's how you respond when I have to say NO. "
if you are mature enough you will accept it and make another plan
if you are not you will sneak or push or steal or lie for it.
think about it.
Take mom through the steps. help her learn about technology.
all the media is warning her about on line predators she would be a neglectful parent if she didn't take your phone until she finds out whats going on! thumbs up to you AND your mom! investigating for her is mature just don't go into the pushing category then you will be acting immature.
