The nickname doesn't seem to make any sense and I've never heard anyone explain how he got it. What does it mean?

If you have ever seen him spar or fight, the name is apt.

He is all business all the time and he will "rush" at you with a flurry of activity.

In Quebec Georges St. Pierre made his name known by knocking out over 80% of his opponents in the 'leading' Canadian MMA event TKO/gaining title 'rush' which refers to the fast-paced/various strikes and wrestling that he pushes throughout fight, example. last fight with Matt Hughes.

You can basically just pick your own nickname b/c it sounds good....some people pick it for reasons, some dont

For example, im pretty sure Dean Lister doesnt hide under little kids beds and comes out at night to scare them....but his nickname is still "the boogeyman", probably b/c he likes how it sounds.
