How bout this for an explanation...it is ALL MEDIA OUTLETS!!! They are all liberal and I think they are out to make the president look bad, well, all republicans in general. I actually do think they want us to fail in Iraq, and they are shaping the way Americans view the war.
When the media ONLY reports negative stories (death and destruction) and never positives, they make all Americans believe that the situation is worse than it is. Therefore, they want to bring the troops home and they get out and vote Democrats in because they think the Democrats will make that happen. So now we have a Congress full of Democrats that have NO idea what the heck they are doing and I am very fearful they will do the wrong thing and pull the troops.
So what happens if we pull the troops home? We leave an unstable Iraq where the terrorists will have won and they will just take over. Then they have a warm and fuzzy place from which to stage operations then they start hopping planes over the pond and blowing up our shopping malls. Does ANYONE see the long range implications of pulling our troops home?
And, for the record, I have voted Democrat in the past. Now, I will vote for who will take care of the troops and make the right decisions in this war. The Democrats are winning the spin war and it upsets me that the White House and Republicans arent speaking out about what could happen if we pull the troops.

Hmmm. What happened in the Kansas City metro today...
I went to work and was not blown up by a car bomb
Thousands upon thousands of kids went to school, there were no school bus accidents, and nothing blew them up
Thousands upon thousands of people went shopping in malls, grocery stores and other public shopping areas, and no one was killed by sniper fire
Thousands of people went to church, and not a single place of worship was blown up...
And yet, none of that was in the news! Those newscasters must be biased against the positive things that go on in Kansas City!
The fact of the matter is that most of the positive things that go in in Iraq are not really newsworthy. Big things like the successful elections, diplomatic peace talks, completion of major construction projects, etc. get some coverage, as well as US Forces nabbing one insurgent or another, but the everday successes in Iraq are simply not news....You can't have a news story about every new school that opens or every day that a shopping area doesn't get bombed.
Right before submitting this, I went ahead and checked Fox News to see if they had any positive stories about Iraq in their headlines. They had a few, but the majority were negative, to include:
Car, Mosque Bomb kill 20 in Iraq
Bullet-Riddled Body of Kidnapped Iraqi Mayor Found
Insurgent Chlorine Attacks Injre 350 Iraqi Sunnis
...etc.

Actually, the stories come from the Associated Press (AP). The few listed on the homepage are the most viewed stories. Therefore, more people are reading stories about the fvckups in Iraq then they are postives happening there.

merely on PBS's "information Hour" with Jim Lehrer is there a 2d of silence because of the fact the faces of the lifeless youthful infantrymen and marines are broadcast. The fulfillment of "the surge" is generating greater faces. That makes approximately 4,000 so some distance. they don't have time to checklist the wounded. The conflict is precisely an economic component of a few, and a "fairy tale" to others.

Maybe it's because the negatives are really what sway people's decisions. When you shop on eBay, instead of looking at all the seller's positive feedback, take a look at what the few people left as negative feedback, it may change your mind.

I am a veteran. The anti-war people make me want to cry every day. I remember what it was like not having full support of the American people, morale was down and people died. War sucks. But we nee to support the war 100%. After the war put the politician on trial and possibly prison for their actions. But when we are fighting another group, we need 100% support.

So glad others have began to notice this. It has become so consistent! It also seems they choose negative liberal stories against the current administration too. They are no longer my Homepage.

I would hope there's no such thing as selective censorship like that going on...although, you take a paper like the New York Times with it's totally radical left-wing liberal bias so, I suppose it's possible.
