That is fine. Have seen that myself plenty of times, ate the meat and was fine. My mom told me once that is from when they stamp the beef with a grade.

Black?! i'd haul it again to the shop for money back. gray (no longer spectacular pink) is prevalent. Grocery shops use particular plastic wrap that permits oxygen in, which keeps meat pink. No oxygen replaced into reaching the bottom, so it grew to develop into gray/brown. No enormous whoop there. Meat is oftentimes a even as 30 days and it isn't pink even as they are executed with it. yet black? Yipes! =:-o

If its not to your liking, then take it back to the supermarket and they will exchange it for you. It will probably end up in the soup being served the next day..............
If you remember your Treasure Island, it was the
dreaded BLACK SPOT
that had them worried

If you were a butcher and you saw that you'd toss it right into the vat of red dye they use to keep meat looking "fresh". It's fine.

If you bought it today, I would return it immediately to the supermarket and get a replacement and I wouldn't under any circumstances eat that meat. Get your money back!!!

It is probably a sinew. Cut it off if it bothers you but it is probably fine.
