I just made bacon wrapped shrimp last night. Have you made them before? I get the jumbo. I de-vien mine and wrap with 1/2 slice bacon and put about 5 per wooden skewer (i soak my skewer in water for at least an hour because I grill mine) then just put bottled barbeque sauce (I like open-pit, thick and tangy, my husb. likes jack daniels bq sauce) Whats nice is you can do all this in advance. I even put the bq on and throw them in the fridge until time to grill.

Here are a couple others I had on file.

Dragon's Breath Dip
INGREDIENTS:
• 2 heads garlic
• 1 Tbsp. olive oil
• 8 oz. Brie cheese
• 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
• dash white pepper
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut top 1/2" off the top of the garlic heads. Remove some of the loose papery skin, leaving the heads intact. Place each on a square of foil, drizzle each with the olive oil, and wrap well.

Bake at 350 degrees 50-60 minutes, until the garlic is very soft and begins to brown. Cool until easy to handle. Squeeze each head to remove the soft roasted cloves.
In a food processer, process Brie cheese with the seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic cloves. (You can also cream these ingredients together using the back of a spoon and a lot of energy.) Refrigerate several hours to blend flavors. Serve with crackers, crostini, and sliced French bread.

Blue Cheese-Bacon Dip

Prep: 20 min., Bake: 15 min. This rich, creamy dip goes a long way. It can be baked in individual cups or a 1-quart dish.

7 bacon slices, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup half-and-half
4 ounces crumbled blue cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
3 tablespoons chopped walnuts, toasted
Grape clusters
Flatbread or assorted crackers

Cook chopped bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat 10 minutes or until crisp. Drain bacon, and set aside. Add minced garlic to skillet, and sauté 1 minute.

Beat cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add half-and-half, beating until combined. Stir in bacon, garlic, blue cheese, and chives. Spoon mixture evenly into 4 (1-cup) individual baking dishes.

Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Sprinkle evenly with chopped walnuts, and serve with grape clusters and flatbread or assorted crackers.

Yield: Makes 12 to 15 servings

Bacon Cheddar Pinwheels

1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls
2 TBSP ranch dressing
¼ cup real bacon pieces cooked crispy, crumbled
½ cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup chopped green onions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Unroll dough and separate into 2 long rectangles; press each into 12x4-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal.

Spread dressing over each rectangle to edges. Sprinkle each with bacon, cheese, and onion.

Starting with one short side, roll up each rectangle; press edge to seal. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 8 slices; place cut side down on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 17 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm

Our house standards are guacamole and baba ghanouj. Our guacamole Four or five ripe avocados One large cucumber Two serrano chiles An orange, juiced A clove of garlic, peeled and minced Worcestershire sauce Burn the chiles over an open flame or under a broiler until they are black and blistered all over. When they are cool enough to handle, remove most of the burned skin (leave some for flavor!) and the ribs and seeds and mince. If you use a traditional 'slicing' cucumber peel it and remove the seeds and mince. If you use one of the European or middle eastern varieties just mince. Peel and mash the avocado. Add the rest of the ingredients and salt and pepper to taste. Baba ghanouj is eggplant seasoned with tahini, lemon juice and olive oil. So easy and SO delicious. Take a couple of large eggplants and either cook them right on top of a gas burner or cut them in half, rub with olive oil and roast in a hot oven until they are soft. Scoop out the insides (this is a messy job if you have cooked them on the burner but the charred skin makes it taste smoky). Mash the eggplant with a couple of tablespoons of tahini, a tablespoon of olive oil, salt and pepper to taste, a clove of crushed garlic and some chopped cilantro. Serve with pita or lavash.

beef meatballs...put them on toothpicks
mini chicken kebabs...slice chicken into 1 inch wide strips and thread on kebab sticks that have been soaked in water for 15 mins. BBQ or broil them and snip the skewers in half with kitchen scissors so they aren't too unwieldy.
Mini quiches. You can buy the puff pastry cases...just fill them with a scrambled egg mixture combined with ham and bake for about 15 mins.
Shrimp on skewers is good too.

chicken satay sticks very easy and can be prepared ahead and cooked on day.
Can be served cold and served with peanut satay sauce.
My really easy recipe is soak your chicken in a tin of coconut milk over night, thread the chicken onto the skewers and grill for 2-3 mins each side.
Use the coconut milk from the chicken and heat in a pan add a good dollop of crunchy peanut butter, add a tablespoon of chilli powder.Mix well and serve hot with the chicken sticks .

You could make lots of different types of dips, and chips! such as cream cheese and salsa, mixed, you simply take the whole cream cheese out of the pkg., and add enough salsa, while mixing it (after its sat out long enough to be a tad soft), and only add enough salsa, to make the dip pink, in color!! It is out of this world!! My girlfriends and I used to make it in the 80s, when we'd have our "Get together's" and barbecue's and then they come out with it, on tv. as if they invented it!! We invented it right in our kitchen's!! Experimenting one day!! Haha!! Anyway, you can make Quacamole!! I have the best recipe for that...... Lots of avacodo's, some salt (to taste) sour cream, garlic, lemon and lime!! Only add a tad of salt, and lots of garlic, and about a tblspn or two of sour cream, a squeeze of both lemon & lime, and top it with the lime, it keeps it from going brown, during the party!! But refrigerate both dips, until the guest arrive , and get those tortlilla chips, with the scoops, and chex mix, nuts , pretzels.... And from the list you have above, sounds to me, like you have things already pretty much covered!!Yummo!! Your hubby is so lucky!! Smile!!!
