Al incoming police applicants must not have used drugs in the past two years-it seemed strange to say "two years" as opposed to "no drug use"....so do they use Hair test, blood test, or the standard uring test for incoming applicants?

If you are worried about this - maybe you should not be a cop.

Is this Overland Park, KS? I have a buddy that used to be on the SWAT team there. I believe they just do a urine test. I haven't heard of too many departments requiring blood tests, and it would be too expensive to test hair on all applicants.

To catch the lying dopers, hair tests show drug use a long, long ways back. Not a bad idea. I am sure that the hair test would be what they want to use.

Most likely a hair test. It is farmore accurate and impossible to conceal drug use.

Since they specifically stated "two years", I'd guess they use hair tests, as their testing period is potentially that long..
