I'm dating this guy and a coulpe of weeks ago I found out we are distant cousins. His great grandma and my great grandpa were first or second cousins. Should we call it off. I feel disgusting about dating my cousin

I think your family relationship is distant enough to not be important.
The important aspect is how you feel about it. You say you feel disgusting about dating your cousin and I think that answers your question. If you don't feel good about it, don't do it.

I'm not really sure that 5th cousins really count in that rule but still i think i would call it off based on principle alone.
