The tip of a shoot given your choices. The best material to study cell reproduction is a root tip. Barley root tips are very good.

A good source of cells to view division in plants is in algae and several water plants. The chlorophyll inside streaming chloroplasts makes simple visualization easy. Since these are water plants simple water mounts allow for living visualization with limited disruption. An epidermal peel will provide cells to see, however few if any will proceed to divide after the separation.

In short I would obtain some spirogyra filamentous algae (pond scum) or some elodea plants ( a type of aquatic plant sold in aquarium trade). A small tweezer of algae or a leaf of elodea in a water mount should provide a fine view.
