I am a former Wrestler (so I had to cut weight a lot), and have a bit of a routine where I gain atleast 30lbs from Nov-Feb and then go on my diet in March and lose atleast that 30, if not more.. Every year, same thing :o)
My base suggestions:
1) Glucose (aka Sugar) - Get rid of it almost completely. Easier said than done, but if you can accomplish this you will be well on your way.
If you drink coffee, or tea: Use Splenda. Tastes just like sugar and is much better for you. Also - w/coffee you need to force yourself to use low-fat milk instead of cream.. Makes a gigantic difference.
NO MORE SODA!! At all. I saw a study once that said, irrospective of life style (active or not) that if you JUST cut out soda that you will lose on average 17lbs in a year. Amazing.
Very obvious stuff to cut out of your diet: Butter and margarine, oil, condoments (oil, dressings, mayonaise) - Substitute these things with alternatives. If you must have mayo: Use miracle-whip, or fat free.
Last: I lose weight by eating more.. Yes, more. Your body has a metabolism that is basically a furnace that burns fat and turns it into energy. The more you give your metabolism: The better it works. There is one catch though: You have to eat much smaller portions.
My schedule is that I eat at: 8am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 6pm. I eat healthy foods, 5 times a day, in 1/2 sized portions. By doing this you will charge up your metabolism and your body will burn much more fat.

i found the e book to be very informative and hassle-free to study. i've got lost 17 pounds in 12 days, i'm only in contact that i'm dropping too lots weight, too straight away. i visit confess i haven't accompanied the handbook precisely. i'm no longer sticking completely to the indexed ingredients and meal plans (yet frequently) and doing little or no workout, however the load keeps flying off. It of course works and if i might accompanied it precisely i think of it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the quantity that i might lose. So thank you returned for the documents. i haven't offered something like this earlier because of the fact they're many times packed with trash, yet 3WD has been a delightful ask your self. start right this moment!

5'5 isn't short dear. The average female is 5'3 - 5'4. You're average. I'm 5'4 1/2, and am in no way short. Neither are you. You won't look as short if you lose all the extra weight. I weigh 100 pounds less than you and am an inch shorter and even I am trying to lose some more weight. Tips for weight loss are always the same. Eat less, eat healthier, exercise more. Good luck.
And drink a lot of water, it's good for you. Cut out drinking soda, it's very bad for your weight. I stopped drinking soda and it really helped me lose weight.

Sudden weight gain is linked to stress. Look back about 6-9 month's ago, or maybe even years, and see what may be causing you pain or loss. If that doesn't work, I lost weight by changing from white bread to rye, and cutting out pasta, I can't stand the taste of either now. Eat until your not hungry, don't eat when your bored.

Only one way to lose weight --Eat less and do more
Start with small goals ( I will lose 2pounds this week)
And an easy exercise program -- Walk around the block today, 2blocks tommorow, until you can walk three miles in 45 minutes.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
