There is a small pocket of puss on the top hole. I know to use the special soap the piercer provides and warm sea salt soak. Are there any other remedies?

Yes, See a doctor so they can prescribe antibiotics. You really shouldn't mess around trying to treat it yourself.

Antibiotic ointment is the best. You need to move the ring to keep skin from becoming adheared to it. The ointment (which is two dollars at most places) will provide lubrication as well as help getting rid of the infection.

believe or not, heat some vinegar and use it as warm as you can, put some drops on the piercing and move it like when you are washing it. You will see the difference, I did it and was the best remedy that I could use...

Bactine or neosporin if I remember correctly. However, after my first infection, I said screw it time to just grow up and take the damn thing out.
