The vet can perscribe the best for your dog if he has kidney problems

Not sure if you mean safe as in the pet food recall if that is the case here is a list of recalled foods for dogs.

If it's that your wondering if it's safe in general for them, you should check with your vet. Most vets have foods specific for most health issues like kidney problems etc. We used to prescribe Hills Science Diet K/D for kidney health, but they may say that Eukanuba is okay, but if your dog needs a kidney diet, that is the same as a prescription and needs to be done through a vet, generics are not the same in the animal field as in the human field.
