In the Middle Ages many European churches claimed to have the foreskin of Christ (it was considered a relic). Does anyone know if any European churches today still claim to have the foreskin of Christ and do they let you see it? I'm going to Europe soon and want to see it. Thanks,

In 1983, as the residents of Calcata, a small town 30 miles north of Rome, prepared for their annual procession honoring a holy relic, a shocking announcement from the parish priest put a damper on festivities. "This year, the holy relic will not be exposed to the devotion of the faithful. It has vanished. Sacrilegious thieves have taken it from my home."

Strange that a Christian (above) would call the foreskin of Christ "f*ing sick". During the Middle Ages, there were several examples of the foreskin of Jesus on display. Like all relics, they were probably all fakes, but that doesn't change their very real existence and history as a Medieval relic.

The last foreskin disappeared from the church where it was kept several years ago. Rumor has it that it was stolen by the Vatican because of the embarrassing implications surrounding it.

Good luck with that. Relics locations are kept by the vatican. They keep a pretty tight lip concerning these issues. If you think about it, the practice is somewhat barbaric. Why would a church need to have a "piece" of someone's body included in it?

Even if this relic does exist, which is doubtfull, you're finding out where it is will probably prove to be impossible.

OK yeah, you found this on wikipedia, and I'm the first to admit that wikipedia is about as reliable as The Rapture - but the "Holy Prepuce" is a well-attested type of medieval "relic." Amongst the phials of blood and sweat, stained clothing and burial shrouds, various instruments of "The Passion," etc etc we often find medieval churches claiming to possess Jesus' sacred foreskin. If any of them are still extant, I don't know where to tell you to go; but it should go without saying that all religious relics are fakes.

I doubt that the foreskin of christ still exists. It was cut off and disposed of between Bethlehem and Egypt shortly after Christs birth, anyone claiming to have it is probably a scammer.

Dude, it's true, it was stolen in 1983! If you are serious, start a new inquiry to the cops in the village of Calcata Italy.

Those guys who stole it must have wanted to sell it to somebody...make an offer!

Ah yes, the foreskin of Christ.

Many have died searching for it. Many have lost their minds in the quest for eternal life.

Oops, I thought you meant the Holy Grail. What the hell do you want to see Jesus' penis skin for?
