What you say has merit. We have done a good job over there and we will continue to do a good job as long as we don't have someone like "you know who" in the White House. Some, (a lot) of people just dont' get it and never will. I don't know about setting up residency there but we need to be there for the long haul.

Isn't it wonderful in this country that all those sons and daughters in the military, besides the beer and baseball activities, are willing to defend your right for Free Speech?
Wow, just think if the Marines at Iwo Jima or the soldiers at Normandy were of the same attitude as you. What a wonder country we wouldn't have.

Its amazing how narrow minded the Marine Corp makes its troops. Iraq has been in turmoil for hundreds of years son. The Romans couldn't tame it, the english couldn't at their peak and neither will america. Its time to come to the realization that we can't change the way people think especially when they have something as powerful as religion making them throw themselves into the fiery chasm of hell.
You should really try looking at america and englands history in that entire region before you decide weather or not we are capable of throwing billions of dollars at it and thinking we can fix it.

Oh Yeah, we could put the Iraqis on Reservations or Ghettos like the Israelis do with Palestinians an reward all of the Political Contributors with land.

They are building a base there. Just like we did in Korea, Iraq will be a permanent duty assignment for military members (unaccompanied tour of duty). Just FYI.
