Ave, Imperator, morituri te salutamus
English:
Hail, Caesar; we who are about to die salute you
Our Motto is "Morituri Te Salutamus" but, I believe I may have to change it to "Morituri Te Salutami" so it will be in present tense. Would this be the correct translation?

It is correct as written.
Salutami - incorrect
Salutant - they who are about to die salute you
Morituri is the future participle, hence the "about to" die. It is used for things that have not yet happened but are going to in the immediate future.

Survival of the fittest - or Natural Selection is a process that can only take place if we allow nature decide who lives, dies and reproduces. With the advent of medical science, nature is having less and less to do with survival. Everytime medical science saves someone's life, or just cures an illness then natural selection is over-ridden. So to a large degree we are no longer controlled by natural selection anyway.Natural Selection is about the survival and development of species. Bonding between individuals is essential for forming the basis of social relationships - such as family. For most species, this is necessary for their very survival. The young may require the protection of family to mature and reproduce.... and so on. As for the kind of love that is expressed when a person willingly dies for someone else - that is supernatural - from God.

Unknown: the present tense of 'We salute' is '(nos) salutamus', yet. 'Salutami' doesn't exist in Latin. It exists in Italian, example I met a friend who is married and when I leave him, I can tell him to take my salutations to his wife, saying: "Salùtami tua mòglie." That is literally: "Salute (for) me your wife"

The traditional form is: "Ave, Caesar, morituri te salutant", which means: "Hail, Caesar, those bound to die salute you".
"Caesar" usually replaces "imperator" as a general term.

it looks like we need to start differentiating between emotional love, and sexual attraction. while emotional love is necessary for better health, and well being. physical love, is necessary for production of offspring. neither one has any influence on survival of the fittest. . survival of the fittest, is based on the strong preying on the weak. and in the animal kingdom, where they fight for the right to breed. and only the strong are allowed to breed, thus passing on the stronger genes. perhaps this is the reason that female dogs, have attained such a bad name.

"salutamus" means "we are greeting". Please don't change, as you have it spot on in its present form!
The dying was in the future -- "morituri esse" is the plural of "to be about to die". The greeting is well and truly in the present.
