You panicked. Next time take a deep breath and get your courage up to talk to him. Nothing will happen unless you do your part! Also, wear heels or wedges, so you CAN'T run.

You mean you ran away when he looked AT you, yes? Rather than when he looked away?
Well, I think in either scenarios it's pretty understandable. I think it is due to anxiety, which in this situation is a norm.
Will HE think you're weird? It all depends on his level of understanding (of anxiety, communication, body language, etc.)
