I have a Girlfriend who's husband passed away about 10 years ago. She is 5'4" and probably 300+. Her breasts are at least a 40 DDD , and she has a cute little waist. She hasn't been on a date or asked out by a man since her husbands passing. She says men act like she is invisible. To me- she is the most intelligent woman I know, she is beautiful to me. Are men really this shallow? What do you men really think about an obese woman?

Beauty on the inside is what counts, and everyone is beautiful to someone

Yes men are really this shallow. People always say "Looks don't matter as long as you have a good personality," that's crap. If a person does not have the good looks to attract you to them in the first place, you won't give them the time of day needed in order to find out whether or not they have a nice personality. You said she is the most intelligent and beautiful woman, that's because you're not interested in her looks. Guys are. Besides, in this day and age, being obese is looked down on. People associate obesity with laziness and nobody wants a lazy woman. Its the sad truth. However, I'm sure there is someone out there for her and if not, there's nothing wrong with being single. She got to experience love.

I'm not a man but from experience I know that a lot of men like if not prefer bigger women - however big does not equal fat. If she's mis-proportioned (and it sounds as if she is if her breasts are that big but she has a "cute little waist") then men tend to not like that. 5' 4" and 300+ lbs is very big. I think there is probably some man out there who likes that, but if her attitude doesn't exuberate any confidence she'll never find him. Does she like who she is and how she looks? If not, why would she expect anyone else to either? Only when she's at a place in her life where she's truly happy with herself, will she find someone else who'll be happy with her too. Good luck to your friend.

SOME men are shallow..BUT there is the fact too that they do not want a woman that big for she has alot of medical problems or will have if she doesn't now...also it means to them she doesn't care about herself and they want someone that does..also it means that if she can't take care of herself how is she going to take care of him and their children..HUMMMMMM....people jump to that conclusion all the time...obese people think they can look like that and that woever doesn't like them is wrong or shallow...no...they need to do the right thing and that is take care of themselves....I know most men LOVE a full figured woman....but not an obese one....and yes there are a few shallow men but she should not want to live like that..for herself..to heck with men......

Well i think it is different for everyone. I myself like a bigger girl but not quite 300 lbs. But i don't think that makes me shallow. Sex is an important thing for alot of people. And the more attracted you are to a certain person the better sex will be. So then why is it wrong if a man is not attracted to a big woman. Its no different then anything else if you don't like it you just don't that can't be changed.

A woman's point of view:

I think that "5'4" and probably 300+" is a bit much, don't you? That's way into the "clinically obese" range. It is both unhealthy and unattractive. A man doesn't have to be shallow to shy away from that.
She can lose over 100 pounds and STILL be pleasingly plump. Pleasingly plump can be nice; clinically obese cannot.

big gals need loving too... if you like she is beautiful take a chance and ask her out... yes men are really this shallow about looks but looks are not everything.. we have a saying here. big gals are warmth in the winter and shade in the summer so enjoy the extras. let her know you are attracted to her and make her feel special. some women can not help they are "over sized" and get really depressed because people will not talk to them just because they have a few extra pounds.

Obese is not healthy sorry. A woman can be sexy even if she is on the plus size but that I hate to say is not healthy or sexy. She needs to exercise and change her eating habits. Not for the sake of getting a man but for her own health!

Wouldn't anyone want to be with someone else who cares about themselves? I'm sorry but 300+ pounds isn't healthy, you've got to think (I'm not a guy, this is just my philosophy) that if they don't care about themselves (ie: Being healthy, and you cannot argue that that's a healthy weight) how can they truly care about another person?

Plus, I would worry about them passing away at an early age because of their health issues. I mean, I'm 5'9" and weigh 185, and I think that I could work out more and be a little healthier, I cannot imagine being 5'4" and weighing as much as she does.

I'm sorry, go ahead and give me those thumbs downs but that is NOT healthy, she may be beautiful but she clearly doesn't care about her health.

Depends on how obese, but I do like a woman with a little meat on her bones. I don't know how guys can date women built like 12 year old boys.

She is just not acting confident enough. I like any size girls that know what they want and go after it. Just like you girls say all the time. She could get a guy she just needs to be more confident, thats most heavier girls problem and why they cant get as many guys.
