okay, so....
a boy asked me to a concert, i said yes, he came to the door, and picked me up. but when we got into his truck, it turned out his sister was going too. so we get going, and his cell rings. he pulls into a parking lot, and gets out, his dad hops in, and the boy, takes passanger side. the four of us (me, the boy, his sister, and his dad) go to the concert. it is indoors, and we sit together. he offers to buy me a c-d, and then on the way home, buys me ice cream. when we get to my house, he walks me to the door, and says good night, and that he will see me later.

even though it was not one-on-one. from his point of veiw, was it Date? (we are 16 and 18)

KEEP HIM! wow...a normal guy in this day and age..that is how it should be done....yes it is a date...maybe he wants his family to get to know you too...I think that is sweet of him....nothing wrong with that...you will have dates with him alone...when he is ready...be happy he isn't a jerk...

It's a date, but he should have been a little more clear about who was coming along. You were apparently expecting some time alone with him, and were disappointed. 16 and 18 is a little old for chaperones, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it. Also, since you're under age (I assume you're 16), he may feel it's necessary, at least at first, to not be in a potentially compromising position with you.

Yea it was a date. I'm sure the thing about his dad and sister going to was just so he could see what they thought of you. Some guys, good ones, like it when their families approve of the girl they like. If he said he would see you later, that means you went over well. I think it was a good thing and it was definately a date! Good luck!

If he had any inbstentions of dating you he would have hung out with you (like he did). The fact that his family was there meant nothing other than a way for him to feel comfortable around you.
Basically it was a date and he likes you. End of story stop reading into it.

Sounds like it WAS a date, but then his dad insisted on coming to watch you two! The fact that he was riding shotgun with his dad and you had to sit in the back with his kid sister kind of sucks. I bet they're mormon.

Is he 16? His dad was probably just chaparoning. I'd say it's a date. Did he call you the next day? If not, forget about him.

I think it is a date. He has concerned parents who care so much for him. Since you have fun together, perhaps next time you two can go out together alone.

Yep - It's still a date in my book - same as if you were on a date with another couple....How nice that you got to meet his family too!
