how to stop hair from thinning out??

my Dad and two uncles are bald, Is their anyway I can prevent baldness, and hair falling out in certain areas????

I have the same (Even my younger brother is balding big time!) When I was a kid, I heard that when in the shower or whenever washing your hair, Always massage your scalp lightly with your finger tips until you could feel your head actually feeling a tingling sensation.
Because I did this, im the only member in my family with a full head of hair.
