My husband and I did a 20 day tour of Italy. I adored Italy and it's people. I recommend this beautiful country to all.
The food and the wine was delightful and very tasty. I couldn't get over all the beautiful marble. Every where you went. The architecture was unbelievable.
I will sum it up, for me it was a trip of a lifetime and I'm so glad I was able to see Italy. We went in September and the weather was warm and sunny.
Oh yea, don't miss Capri if you go.

As an americana girl living here I thought italy would be much different. I live in the northern part, trento to be specific. The ice cream and pizza is better than you could imagine. I live here with my italian boyfriend. The men here are intense and Ive noticed some men very role traditional. But they are sweet and genuine. the girls here are snobby, but willing to change if you are the right person. There are many different people here, but I dont see many colored people. Siesta is something americans dont understand. Everything is closed from 11 or 12 till about three everyday here. and on sundays you cannot do hardly anything. The land, culture and scenery is amazing. absolutley amazing. Traveling is easy and fun, there are many public busses and trains people use everyday. Things are more expensive here but the quality is better. Music wise, hip hop is coming! slowly. I hear more english music on the radio than italian. The problem with italy is that EVERYONE is late, always. My teacher is late to come to school, the vet is late to see my dog, my boyfriend is late going everywhere. dont fight it, accept it. be patient. Im looking for friends in the Trento, Rovereto area. English speaking and italian around the age 21, if anyone wants to chill

I recently went on a trip through Europe. We went to Germany, France, and Italy, and I expected France to be my favorite (since I am well-versed in French). I was wrong, however, and Italy turned out to be the most fantastic place in the world. The architecture and history there is amazing. If you plan to go, make sure to spend a day (more would be better) at the ruins in Pompeii. They are stunning. Florence is a beautiful old city as well, although Naples is by far my favorite place in Italy.

I went to Italy in the summer of 2005, and it was gorgeous. Amazing. The architecture was nice, but the Italian streets are indeed very wonderful. I love the Italians. Every day Italian life is something you shouldn't miss. And their pizzas are wondeful as well as gelatos.

Born and raised in Northern Italy. My Mother is Italian, my father French. I left Italy in 2000 to live in the USA. I was sick of it. Sick of the unemployment, sick of the pitiful salaries, sick of the inflation, sick of paying 40 Euro for a pizza one coke and the chair where I sit, sick of the Vatican who influences the Government and the public opinion, sick of the (hundred of ??) thousands of illegal immigrants who don't have a future, sick of the contradictions, sick of the traffic, sick of the people who are so angry, sick the TV which lobotomizes people's brains.... Insomma, I LOVE Italy, I really do, and I go back with pleasure every year for a month, and then I happly leave again...Visit Italy, don't live there!
