If you do, tell me.

I have a Doberman, Named hammer. he is my 11th dobie. I've been raised with dobermans, and they are the best breed ever! dont beleive me, then check out the stats..
I saved him from a shelter when he was 11 months old, he is pure bred, but his first owners couldnt keep him anymore because they already paid too much for him " a thousand dollars" and they didnt want to keep up with him, so they dropped him off at the shelter when he was 3 months old. he then was adopted agian at 9 months, but he got loose, but when the shelter picked him up, the second owners didnt want him, they said that he was too big and stalky, and they just didnt want him anymore, he was too affectionate. and they didnt have time for that. and when i came in to look for a dobe with my father, the shelter said he only had the weekend to live, it was friday! I adopted him immeadiataly. Now he is being police trained by me, bc all my dobes were. and now he is the best obediant dobie ever!

he is the best thing i have had in my life so far, and alot of people congradulate me on saving him, but i cant help to think inside that he has saved me in more ways then i can count!

And if you dont like them, tell me. I want to hear some humor =]

Hi
I used to have a doby but sadly had to be put down and it broke my heart. Some of my memories of him are, when he was a pup i thought I'd lost him cos i couldn't find him anywhere in the house, i was frantic,i then looked in his bed properly and found my 2 year old daughter in his bed and what i thought was a teddy underneath her, was prince, they were so comfortable i didn't have the heart to move them. He looked after my girls with a protection that only someone who owns a doby can understand, he would circle them when out for a walk so he could protect them if they needed him. They are a wonderfull breed of dog. I have loads of funny stories about prince if you like to hear them he was an absolute idiot

I work as a dog trainer with a doberman rescue.
I have one male right now, Kai. He is a red and is 4 years old. He is lots of fun but a lot of work also. He came to me not having very good obedience and some bad habits.
With some work he has shaped right up and is a great dog.
I always have at least one dobe in the house.
I do alot of foster work for the rescue. I take ones that have problems and work with them to get better manners and social skills on them and hen they are placed up for adoption.

I love Doberman's and have always considered them to be a "classic" dog, like German Shepherds. You did a wonderful thing for him!! They are a wonderful breed. Never met one I didn't get along with! : )

one year ago we adopted a 7 years brown doberman, i always had false idea about them, but then Champ came and he proved me wrong, he is so adorable and gentle, when he looks at you with his brown eyes you just melt. his previous owner has trained him well so i guess we are lucky and soon he is going to be a daddy i can't wait to see the puppies :)
