Yes, you can house train them. You just need to be patient and consequent. Crate is a grate idea, you put them into the crate for a couple of hours (because dogs are tidy animals, they do not like to pee where they sleep...) and then immediately take them outside. You have to wait until they go ( if they don’t, give them some water to drink, after drinking in a couple of minutes they’ll need to go…) and during the action you say quietly “Good boy” and when he is done, give him some reward (a piece of food they really like and pet them, say “good dog” again. That is really important, so they would know they did something good and if you keep doing it, they’ll realize going outside is good. After a while you can skip the reward food and just praise them. If they “go” inside the house, never rub their nose into it. It will make the dog think he did something wrong… peeing is wrong, so he’ll start looking for place in the house where he can hide it from you.
If an accident happens, clean it up without a word, your dog won’t have any idea what he did wrong. If you catch your dog during the action, take him outside immediately, do not hit him.
Good luck!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aL3ET
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Hi
Yes you can potty train older puppies, it just takes a little longer and a bit more persistence. Try the litter tray or just newspaper over the floor, gradually move the paper towards the garden and reduce the paper, also praise them a lot when they have gone outside to have a wee and give them a treat they will soon learn that is the better way cos they get a chocolate treat.

whilst she is going in the domicile, is she moving into the comparable couple of spots? if so this might propose she is picking up the heady scent there and thinks it is the the perfect option place to circulate. sparkling those components extremely nicely with a product which will neutralize the scent, and if in any respect attainable, block her from that area for some days. you do no longer might desire to dam an entire room. in basic terms putting a chair over the region the place she went before could suffice. additionally, next time she is going in the domicile use some paper towels to blot the urine (if she is doing #2 %. it up), and take the moist towels or puppy exterior, and positioned it everywhere you choose her to circulate. Then, once you comprehend she desires to circulate take her to that area and attempt to get her to circulate. If she does, compliment her wildly. Your description additionally appears like she could be telling you she desires to circulate (stands on the door for 15 seconds), so which you would be able to might desire to pay somewhat extra interest to her, and permit her out extra frequently.

Triskelion? litterbox train, dude are you crazy?
Crate train them. It's easier than just trying to house break them.

This website tells how and even has a specific section for dogs older than six months.
Good luck. We just went through this, but with a puppy.

Do you work all day? If you do then get them seperate kennels and put them in there. Make sure that they kennels are only large enough for them to stand up and turn around. This will force them to hold their urges to go until let out of the kennel when you get home. They should also be put in the kennel at night. Dog's will not go to the bathroom where they sleep. At night take them outside one more time before you put them in the kennel. They are going to whine if you havent been doing this. Tell them night night and turn off the lights. Let them cry. This will take a few sleepless night but you can do it. If they calm down but wake you up a few hours later get up and take them outside to use the bathroom, if they go give them a treat and then put them back into the kennel and tell them night night.
If you do not work then you need to take them outside every 30 to an hour and let them relieve themselves. If they go outside give them a treat but ONLY if they go. If they don't, no treat. You should watch for warning signs like sniffing around, if you see them sniffing around take them outside, if they don't go thats fine but at least you are trying to prevent it from happnening inside. Do the kennel thing at night as described in the previouse paragraph.

Yes - easily buy a crate and learn how to properly crate train your dog. Older dog learn very fast and they are perfect for crate training because they can "hold it" longer than a young puppy.
Good Luck!

No, a dog can't sit on a potty. Are you getting them confused with your children? Bathroom - no to that answerer, dogs can't sit on toilets either. Crate train, yes you can, at any age and stage. It's very easy and very successful. No newspaper, no expensive pads, no mess, just good old-fashioned behavioural training!

Poodles are not very good dogs to be house trained. My suggestion is to buy those pee pads and each time they go on it, move closer to where you want them to do their.....thang
