In my adolescents i have had both executed. The lip damage a touch, for a couple of minutes, and replaced right into a touch sore for an afternoon or 2. The tongue not often damage even as executed(it makes a noisy pop), even if the major situation with the tongue replaced into both weeks of swelling, soreness, and the shortcoming of ability to devour/drink with out often times severe soreness. i'm no stranger to soreness, i'm even totally sleeved with tattoos up and down both hands, even if the tongue piercing replaced into actually a aggravating damage. again, proper even as it receives executed, neither are too undesirable, even if the therapeutic of the tongue is something you want to practice for. fairly, regardless of the soreness even as therapeutic, once you may get one executed, i'd flow with the tongue because of the particular shown actuality that i have under no circumstances considered a lip piercing that did not go away a touch brilliant scar even as it really is no longer in. in simple terms be prepared for the therapeutic technique of the tongue. get excitement from, and verify you rinse with mouthwash 5-6 circumstances an afternoon after the piercing is executed; shop in ideas the human mouth is stuffed with bacteria and germs of each version. briefly, the tongue hurts a lot less even as executed, yet you've were given the painful therapeutic. The lip doesn't fairly damage that a lot both way, yet you are able to finally end up with a tiny scar once you're 35 like i'm and do not placed on it anymore. yet flow with what you want! The soreness is secondary; if soreness were a interest i doesn't have tattooed my sternum with a chest piece that took 12 hours over 2 instructions. =) the biggest element i visit reiterate is the therapeutic time of the tongue; practice for it if it extremely is the line you opt for. ~Devlin

Pus is a sign of infection. Are you cleaning the piercing correctly? Are you using an ointment to treat it? Make sure you are taking care of this. A friend of mine had her belly button pierced and she got a blood infection.

a little bit is common, i mean, its a hole thru your lip. just keep cleaning it with antibacterial soaps (non fregrance if you can find it) and make sure you rotate it a few times a day (so it doesnt start sticking to the wound). i've found that tea tree oil works GREAT on new piercings. but then again, i'm still a fan of rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. people say thats bad, but i've had 15 piercings and not one bad infections (a little irritated every now and then, sure, but nothing that worried me)

depends how long it's been in. don't take it out just yet if it's quite new. clean it with salty water (quarter of teaspoon of SEASALT at the most in a cup of boiling water) if it's not hurting you then it should be fine once you've washed it a few times a day for a week or two.

if puss is coming out it means you've got an infection. Puss is dead white blood cells. So you're WBC were probably fighting off an infection. You need to see a doctor before it gets worst or something bad happens to your lip.
