Love is an interesting thing. It plays on different levels, countless different levels. That's why it's such a difficult topic. It's like the secret of life. Nobody's ever figured it out because what may be the secret of life to them may not be the secret of life to somebody else. Love works the same way. Different people love in different ways and have different forms and levels of loving. I once told my fiance a similar thing. I wasn't telling her that I had cheated on her or was cheating on her or even that I might cheat on her. I was telling her that I've known and cared for many people but of all the women I've dated I had come to realize that dating her was the best thing of my life. A "crowning achievement" I guess you could call it. At some point in your life you may also one day stop and realize that a particular person, for some reason, honestly seems to be that person you've been hoping for. You may realize just what your seeing, that Mr. Right who makes you laugh and feell happy and young again. Who will never turn his back to you and dare to hold your hand when you need him to. Who will throw everything away just for the chance to spend one last second in your presence. Who sees and respects you for what you are. I'm a very untrusting guy, I have all the reason in the world to be. I've been left in the wake of a ruined life and taken hostage along the way by women who've continually burned me because my greatest strength and weakness is that I'm just too kind. But that one person who I made my first vow to I knew in my own heart was worth more than life it's self and despite all the pain and trouble was far more than just worth the pain and effort. I simply had to let her know that she was the only one for me. She died from heart failure two days after our engagement. But I will never move on because in my heart she's still the only one. I made a promise to her that I will keep and make good on in the end. I will wait for her. And someday we will meet again and have the chance to put the pieces back together again, for better or worse. Perhaps your guy feels the same. The best thing you can do is communicate. Relationships are built on trust and communication. Without those things relationships fail. So my advice is for you to talk to him about how you feel and what you think and ask him for what he feels and is thinking. It may not be as bad as you think. It may even be one of the best things of your relationship and bring you guys closer to each other.

Either your husband is madly in love with you and wants you never to think that he would cheat on you or the exact opposite. :D Good luck in deciding . I probably would ignore it and not take it to seriously and watch at what he does later on to determine what he actually means

In my opinion a man who speaks these words outside of the bedroom, is more than likely trying to hide from a situation that he now feels guilty about. More so, if it is not normal in his day to day behavior.
