The brain is a funny thing, when we have nothing do to, we think of all kinds of stupid things.

Okay, this is weird. BC stands for the English phrase. Before Christ. AD stands for the Latin Anno Domini. But English is far younger than Latin. So what's up with that???
Anyway, there would be no real reason to change the calendar yet again. It'll stay AD or CE (Christian Era) from now on.

All calendrical systems are based on some fixed point in time with some convention as to dating periods before and after that fixed point.
At some future time, regardless of what event predicates the change, a new calendar may be adopted based on a different fixed point in time and having different conventions.
Whatever happens, any change in the calendar will not shatter your world.

It is common nowadays to use BCE and CE for "Before Common Era" and "Common Era." Use these.
Also, A.D. doesn't stand for "After Death," it stands for "Anno Domini" (sp?) which means In the Year of Our Lord. So it would still apply regardless of any make believe second comings.

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ was and is the true Messiah and the only One Who was to come to save HIs people from their sins. (Matt. 1:21) He told us false Christs would come claiming to be Him, but we are told not to go see them!! The devil will appear someday impersonating Christ and the only way we will know it's not Jesus Christ is by knowing the Bible. See 2 Corinthians 11:14

well, actually, AD and BC are no longer the preferred terms.
Now BCE and CE are used. I thought CE stood for "Christian Era" (and thusly, "bce," is "before Christian era"), then I read that it stands for "common era"
I cannot seem to find which one it really means, although both are correct (as is another variation I found "current era")
sooooo.... since Christians will still exist and it's still the "common" or "current" era, I see no reason why we can't continue to use "CE"
and yes, funny and clever you are!
