he always some times tease me and etc do you think that he wants me to be there because he likes my company or because he likes me
we have kissed and etc about a few years ago and at the time he said this he kissed me on the cheeck when i brought him a pint

I think he said that to you because he wants you to be there to celebrate his birthday with him.
I mean, how many other mates would kiss you because you bought them a pint? A lot of those blokes would have done the same.
Anyway love, I think you should go out and have a good time with him and the other mates or so.
See how the night goes. This is not technically a "date", this is you, him and the others at a pub for a round to celebrate his birthday.

Maybe both. Go out and enjoy the evening and celebrate his birthday with him. Have some fun, but don't expect anything. If it's been two years since he kissed you I doubt there is anything serious going on between the two of you or it would have already happened. It is not to say he doesn't enjoy your company.

well, most men work the same way. they'd never come out and say directly that they like you, but would just as easily come out and say they dont. kissing a few years ago, im assuming you were both younger, and as we all know men take that little bit longer to grow up. Go along tonight, see what happens, have a drink, but dont end up jumping into bed, because if that is what he is after, you'll end up hurt. if he likes you, and you like him, then he wont mind the wait. easy way to find out though, invite him for a drink one day, send a text see if he's free. if he's happy to drink alone with you, i guess u got your answer

A few years ago! Get over him, sounds like he's not interested - if he lets a girl buy him a pint then sounds like you could be his friend for life, but don't let him use you.

might be that he likes you or must be just tryin to flirt but all i would suggest dont jump to conclusions wait and see is he impatient to meet you or go out with you...does he still thinks about you.....and as far as possible be a bit hesitant when he comes closer to you so that he might come out of just mere indications and put things into words.......wait a while.....

it could go both ways..but if he haven't been affectionate to you sense the kiss it might be he likes your company ..and then again, he wants u to go out with him ..it could be both he might just be sweet on you..
