why even label yourself
there is so much polarizing
on here between atheists and christians
which is fun to watch
cause usually christians get most of the airtime
but there is a lot of philisophical ground between the two
i dont have a problem praying
meditating
believing or not believing
according to the bible
this means i have a weak mind
that blows wherever the wind blows
well that doesnt really sound so bad to me
id rather be a bird than a stone

OK - if you are truly an Atheist then you don't believe in God at all, so therefore you are either not an atheist, or you have lost the plot.
If you pray, then how about you also read? Sadly many Christians give lip service but do not truly strive to show love to all as Jesus instructs.

How can you pray to someone you don't believe exists? I believe there is a lot more evidence that a loving Designer made everything. I believe in a loving God - search the Scriptures for the truth! (By the way, there is no unending hell fire. John 3:16 says those who don't believe will perish.) That doesn't mean keep suffering forever!

You pray to the god of internet........baiting.
I am neither but find it funny to watch christian and athiest constantly bait each other to spark some ill will on the internet.
Not very creative person are you, just the same fight day after day. You all think you are the first to bait each other.
it is hilarious.
keep it up, the christians are ahead right now so you need to bait them 2 more times to be even,.

You know, when I pray for strength, the powers that be send me more trouble to make me stronger by toughening me up so I have to learn to cope, so I pray for serenity or something instead, if I prayed for strength in dealing with Christians, they would be likely to send me more Christians to deal with...

Dear Friend,
It sounds to me that you are not an atheist. Rather you are something of an agnostic. Based upon the beliefs of atheists why would you pray to something that doesn't exist?
I believe that deep in your heart of hearts you know that there is a God who loves you and wishes for you to hear his call. In those moments when you feel most vulnerable you recognize that there is one greater than us. One who in times of trouble shall give comfort to those who call upon his name.

I can easily imagine an atheist using the phrase "God, save me from your followers" in jest or exasperation, but it would be incongruous for an atheist to say it and actually expect a god to grant that request.
