I applied for a loan from him and I too got his business certificate just today. I don't think he's legit. He's asking for me to pay him 180.00 and have it sent to Africa. You shouldnt' have to pay for a loan before you get the funds. Also, have you looked at his phone number? It has too many digits. I asked him about that via email and he never answered that question. I too have terrible credit and can't get a loan anywhere. I find it strange that he is willing to fund me. So what I did was got a co-signer and got a real loan from a real bank and now I am not in financial crisis anymore. If you are desperate, there is a government funded loan called a crisis loan and it is interest free. I almost had to do that but my family helped me out at the very last second.

Do you know what a loanshark is? Ask yourself why "Mr. Richards" is so eager to dispense loans to the less fortunate. Then remind yourself that

A) You have no idea who this guy is
B) He is not subject to any banking regulations
C) If you take his money you are opening yourself up to usurous interest rates and possibly even worse

May advice, stay the hell away from this. If you have credit issue there are other ways to handle it without the regret later on.
