yes I am sure many of the very big churches do but there would generaly be one head pastor.

Of course we can. My church has a Senior Pastor, two Associate Pastors, a Youth Pastors and 4 Lay Pastors.

Yes, they usually have a Senior Pastor then a Ranking of Pastors below that

Of course, many Churches have more than one Pastor, My Church does, we have 5 at our Church.

Well, from what I understand, people of your religion can switch from pastor to parishoner all the time. If you are delivering a message about your beliefs, you are, in fact, a pastor. If you are listening to somone else do that, you are a parishoner.

So given that dynamic, then yes, a church can have more that one.

I know that they can have what they call an associate pastor,and this is a guy who steps up when the pastors is unable to due to illness, vacation, or what have you...

Duties can be shared.....but one person needs to make descisions.

The 2 offices of the local church are pastor & deacon (2 Timothy......somewhere)
