An endorsement is either an expression of approval of a person or action or the act of writing something on the back of a document. The latter could also be an expression of approval, but with sad frequency it is used as a measure of disapprobation, for example following a road traffic offence and the endorsement of one's driving licence.

Other than what? As far as I know, it means basically two things: 1. You can endorse a product or an idea by telling other people it's good, e.g. "Tylenol always cures my headaches!" or 2. You endorse a check by signing the back to show you've received it, then you can cash it or deposit it.

What the "other" meaning of endorsement is depends entirely on the meaning of it you know..... Sadly, my crystal ball is at the cleaner's today, so I have no idea what you understand by it.
