CALL THE VET. If you can't take him there now, the least you can do is call. Do you have any other way to get there? Friends, cab, coworkers?

A) Never give your dog any type of medication with out first speaking with your vet. Some people pain killers will KILL your dog.
It sounds like your dog has been bittern by something or one of your other dogs and has abscessed or become infected. You MUST take this dog to the vet and have this treated. An infection in the face is bad news more so than in some other areas. The infection can get into the blood stream and make it to the brain a lot faster in that location.

If you gave the dog allergy meds and the swelling did not go down, then you have one of two problems most likely. Either your dogs has an infection from a bite of some kind or his nose is broken. Broken noses in dogs especially puppies are not uncommon. I would take him on to the vet ASAP.

Please don't give your beloved friend people medicine unless the vet says so. He may have a tooth problem or like you said cuts from rough housing with the other dogs. Wait for your sis and call the vet. The vet will at least be able to tell you what you can give your dog and what to do for him while you wait. Good luck.

I recommend you call the vet in your area now!! take the dog in it sound like it has been bitten by a spider, or my dog was hit one time by some kids with a baseball bat, it is a long story so take the dog to the doctor. As soon as you can. Take care.

You should not give a dog human medication. It can make it worse. But as for the swelling, when I went through obedience class with my dog, the instructor told us that her dog ate a battery and the acid caused it's face to swell up. That could be it or after getting bitten, it's face could have swelled up. You should call your vet though, even if you are not going to take him yet.

Could be a dental problem, an insect bite or an infection.
Why so many ibuprofin? Did your vet tell you to do this?
You could be compounding the problem.
I never give my animals pain relivers unless directed by
a vetenerian. I'm a cattle rancher and deal with animals
everyday.
