Cats are the most clean animal.
that why they always clean them elves.
Don't we do the same as well to be clean.!
The food has nothing to do with that.!!
Change the food slowly.
One good tip, cheaper food has less protein and less quality of food.
It's worth getting the premium cat food.
Cats need more protein than dog.
If its too expensive, maybe cook or get some meat and add to her can food or dry food.
So as not to overstretch your budget.!!

Your cats want the best of the best and are very spoiled lol just kidding! Have you been feeding it the same food for a long time? Maybe you switched the foods too quickly. Try this method, In the middle of the week feed them the new food then go back to the old one. If they refuse to eat the old one that means they liked the new one! Kind of confusing but I hope I could help!!! :) :)

Your cat licking its backside to clean itself has nothing to do with the type of food it desires. It's just a human would you eat food that wasn't good to you? There are certain foods that have different nutrients in them that a cat needs and therefore your cat may be able to tell the difference. I have the same problem with my cat and there's no use in buying the cheaper food thinking you'll trick the cat into eating it because you won't.

Well for one thing, they dont lick their bums cause it tastes good, they do it because its like taking a shower. Mabye the cats are hooked on the other cat food before you gave them the cheaper one, picky eaters. I would try finding some recipes for cat food online. Or, mix there expensive catfood with the cheaper cat food more and more everyday, until they get to like the cheap cat food.

Poor quality cat food really isn't good for them. Ask any vet, some brands really are better than others. Cats are more likely to vomit or get sick off the cheap stuff. And same as a person can't eat certain kinds of food, your cats really may not digest well the cheap stuff. Stick to the good, standard brands. They are your feline companions right? They deserve good food, you can skip one meal out at McDonalds to provide it for them.

Because the food in the "less expensive cat food" is worse than what's on their bums! If you want to feed your cat cancer-causing garbage, I would recommend not having one.

Maybe they are trying to get the taste out of their mouths from the expensive stuff.

Cat, animals are weird huh! lol, that is so gross. I think the cat food in the can smells so bad. Makes your cats breath smell bad too.

they may not like the tast of the catfood.....yes i know its crazy they clean themselves but are picky about what they eat.......
