ford focus estate,how do i get the bolts into chassis to connect towbar side plates?

you get the bolts in the tow bar kit,if you dont have the kit get a strip of steel plate measure where the holes have to be and weld the nuts onto the strip and place in the chassi.

With the original kit the bolts used to come with a long metal tag welded on the bolt head so you could guide it in and it stopped it spinning when tightening.

drill the holes where you want the bolts to fit, tapndye the holes then find blts to fit.
