I'd have to say that no it wont work. The age difference is so massive that youre an entire generation apart. Your interests and tastes will be starkly different and while at first it might seem sweet and romantic and good it will turn out to be an embarrassment with people staring, constantly questioning, and judging. It sounds like you need some time to regroup and think things through and perhaps some meds or counseling will help you get through this rough patch in your life. I'd end it quickly before things go too far and hang back awhile to look for a relationship. Best of luck.

You need to figure out what is causing your depression. Maybe it's your relationship with the 28 year old. It sounds stressful. I don't think that you should jump into the relationship with the older guy because you are probably aren't thinking straight right now. There is nothing wrong with dating someone who is older than you if they are on the same page as you. If you are the type of person who just wants someone to give you a "secure" life without having to do anything for yourself then you should think about it. However, I don't know if you really want to go out with someone like that. I mean, he is promising you security not a good time. You can have a good time spending his money but what about going out and doing things together? That goes for guys/girls of all ages. I wouldn't want a girl who tries to lure me that way. I think he just wants you because you are young and financially unstable so he knows that he can trap you with his money. If I'm wrong then it would be perfectly fine for you to date him.

You don't mention that you love or are deeply attracted to this guy at all. That is the ONLY good reason to date. Don't do it out of giving up on younger guys or for any thought out reasons. As for the age difference, if it feels weird to you and you are not attracted to THIS man as you deep inside feel you should, than do yourself and him a favor and stay away. Follow your heart.

Many people use this formula; you divide the older persons age into 2 then add 7 years, that is the minimum age that the older person should date. 51 years old divided into 2 = 25.5+7= 32.5 years old You are 7 years too young to date this man

i am biased would say no its not big a difference --- there does not seem to be a mutual affection --- you do not say you care for him --- if that is the case then you need to reevaluate --- are you attracted to him for the security or who he is -- his personality??? if it is the security only then maybe you should let him know
my lady is about the same age as my daughter (she is over 20) and she loves me for who i am not what i can do for her ---- i have felt the same depression and found that it can be stopped by deciding not to be depressed --- sounds simplistic it does work
i suppose the best question to ask yourself is would you be prepared to sleep with this guy without reservations??? could you find the love to look past how old he is and love him for who he is??? ---- best wishes to you

Wow you are still so young, but well i can not say much but i think that if you feel that you have a future with this person then i say you can try it but if not then is better for you to move on. I think you deserve to be happy.

in the starting up, a 7 year distinction would not count number after the age of 40... yet he's a douche bag if he's in college courting a severe college pupil... it truly is a finished pink flag... stay faraway from him.
