Walk everyday, its got to be the easiest way to trim fat and stay fit.
3 mph (20 minute/mile) 418 calories
3.5 mph (17 minute/mile) 481 calories
4 mph (15 minute/mile) 633 calories
4.5 mph (13 minute/mile) 798 calories
5 mph (12 minute/mile) 1013 calories
The above figures are for 60 minutes of walking, just divide by 2 to get the 30 minute figures, or go to the site below and find out how many calories are burned durring 222 different everyday activities.
If you double the pace, you can burn almost 3 times as many
calories in the same distance, SAME distance, LESS time and almost TRIPLE the calories burned!!!!! Being this easy, I walk everyday for at least 1 hour. I stay close to home, I live on an old early warning radar base, it takes me 16 minutes to do 1 lap, so I make it a goal to do 4 laps in less than 1 hour, what a workout, so easy and I was probably burning very close to 1000 calories!!!(gotta get sweaty though)
So, to answer your question directly, 25 minutes every day is better for weight loss than 30 minutes 3 times a week.
Use your watch and use landmarks to check your pace, I reach a convenience store in 6.5 minutes and then takes 9.5 minutes to get back home from there, it takes 2 minutes to walk from my friends house to mine. (A road encircles the base and I'm never more than 10 minutes from home) If I see I'm falling behind, I jog for 30 seconds or so to get back on pace.

No matter which way, even if the 30 min, 3 times a week is a run, the walk SHOULD help more, so long as you have a healthy diet. It all depends on your pace of running though. If you run at full speed the entire time, the run would win, but I doubt you can do that, so the walk will help more. You should however jog for 25 mins a day instead of walking. It would do miracles for you.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

you may be retaining water and you need to drink 8 cups of water a day with some fresh squeezed lemon in it. Also make sure that you are eating 3 servings of low fat dairy a day because calcium is important in burning fat. And make sure that you are taking in less calories than you are burning. Not too low. Around 500 less than your BMR. the average bmr is 2000 for women and a little higher for men. Mine is about 2100. You can go to www.my-calorie-counter to find out what yours is for free. And give it a little of time. If you have only been doing it a couple of weeks you may not show any weight loss yet because your body is getting adjusted to the shift in eating habits. And its normal for it to fluctuate around 2-3 pounds a day. And make sure you are getting enough fiber to from fruits and veggies. And check your sodium consumption a day. If you are eating too much processed foods( which are very bad for you) you could be taking in too much and that will cause water retention. But it could be that your muscles are retaining water from all the new excersize they are getting.

Every Day.
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Either or would be fine. Since its the same activity and only 5 extra minutes, its the same basic exercise - only every day vs 3/7s. I'd probably go with walking everyday (or 6 days, giving yourself a day of rest, with walking, it wouldnt be as big of a deal if you were running or doing something more demanding).
Remember to lose weight - burn more, eat less. Eat healthy and drink water!
