I use them and they seem to work just as well and you save money.

They work... but they do not last as long. I don't know why but cheap batteries are just... cheap! I have a 4 year old and he has lots of things that take lots of batteries and I have tried to save money by buying from dollar stores but it seems like I was having to buy them twice as often. I am thinking of investing in rechargeable batteries!

They should show an expiration date or a "Best When Sold or Used By" date. As long as they haven't expired, they should be okay, and Everready is a good brand name.

Not exaggerating a little here, are we? Just
make sure they are Eveready, because the
generics look so much like 'em.
