I am going to Pakistan and would like to bring along some small gifts to give to our hosts (as is customary there).

What is a good gift representative of the US? I live in NYC so I have access to pretty much anything. I was thinking chocolates, but Godiva is a Belgian company right? Not exactly a good gift from an American!

Bring coins for kids. I know I always loved getting coins from where people are from or have gone.
Quarters, nickles, dimes, pennies, the dollar bill.
Those are always great gifts to bring.
Also, if you're in NY, I would buy them the statue of Liberty.
Its so symbolic to our country.
Or you can bring them Levis. I know they are extremely expensive in Europe, dont know about Pakistan, but they seem to love those Levi Jeans.
Bring a Yankees Baseball cap, or Mets or whatever one. I know Yankee caps are popular, see them in music videos...
What a great idea, bring them some spinning wheels too!!!
