I have taken seroquel, and then was switched to another prescription without any problems. I have panic attacks and I can tell you that when I switched to paxil and librium, I did not miss the seroquel at all. Trust your doctor to find the right RX for you, and DO tell the Dr. if you feel you are not doing as well as you did on this RX. Some prescriptions are not good for long term as they cause amnesia, dry up your vocal chords (so that singing is hard), and can do a lot of harm in your body, when taken too long.

I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

I have been on Klonopin for 6 years, but not for anxiety. I use it for dystonia. They say don't use it too long because it can be addictive.
You definitely shouldn't stop it cold turkey. If you do need to switch to something else, your doctor should wean you off slowly.
Have you tried non-pharmaceutical means to control your anxiety? Therapy, meditation, hypnosis, yoga, church/prayer, ???? These drugs can cause long-term effects you wouldn't want to have. It would be great if you could use the drugs while learning a new way to cope with your anxiety, with a goal of eventually weaning off the drugs.

I suffered from panic/anxiety for years, until I discoverd it was caused by undiagnosed food allergies, for me, it was wheat, eggs, soy, commercial dairy, peanuts, tomato and avacado. Try keeping a food journal to see if your symptoms get worse within 36 hours of eating certain foods. I have been on an elimination diet for over 3 years, and the only time I experienced any symptoms was after eating hidden sources of my allergens.

You do not need to stop after four months so long as you are under doctors supervision. You are fine and do not need to switch meds.
